Apple Smoked Grilled Cheese

Ingredients | |
1 Cup | grated cheese, e.g. Provolone, cheddar, Swiss |
1 cup | small apple, Macs. |
1 Cup | smoked Meat, chopped in 1/2 inch pieces |
3 T. | Tangy Red Pepper Jelly |
Method
1. Stir together cheese, apple, smoked meat and Tangy Red Pepper Jelly
2. Place 1/4 mixture on one slice of bread. The filling will be 1" high on bread
3. Place the other slice on top to form a sandwich
4. Preheat skillet over medium heat
5. Lightly butter both sides of bread grilling surface
6. Place sandwiches in warm skillet. Cover pan while sandwich is cooking--3-4 minutes per side. Cook until bread is lightly toasted, then flip sandwich over. Once turned, press down lightly on top of sandwich with spatula and keep covered. Cook until the other is slightly toasted and the cheese is melted, then remove from pan and ENJOY!!!
