Black Bean Soup

| 1/2 | white onion, chopped |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 4 strips | fried bacon, crumbled |
| 2-3 tbs | butter |
| Sauté over medium heat until tender and aromatic. | |
| 2 cans | black beans, drained and rinsed |
| Purée in blender/food processor and ADD to onions and garlic. ADD | |
| 1/2-1 tsp | cumin |
| 1 box | chicken broth |
Simmer 5-8 mins. Cool.
Purée in small batches.
Heat through to serve. Garnish with sour cream and lime zest
