Bolognese Sauce

1 lb | ground beef 1c diced onion |
1 tbs | minced garlic 1 carrot shredded |
1 tbs | oregano 1 tsp garlic powder |
1 bay leaf salt and pepper | |
42 oz can | crushed tomatoes |
2 c | water 8-10 oz pasta |
1 tbs | butter 1/2 c Parmesan cheese |
In a large pot brown beef, onion, garlic and carrot. Drain excess grease. Add oregano, garlic, bay leaf, and salt and pepper. Add canned tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours. Save 2 cups of sauce and freeze the rest. Add butter and Parmesan cheese to remaining sauce. Toss pasta into sauce.
