STUFFED SHELLS WITH MEAT

1/2 of a 12 oz. pkg. Jumbo Shells(uncooked) | |
2 TB | butter |
1lb. | Beef. 1/2 lb. ground pork |
1/3 c. | Minced onion 1/4c. Minced celery |
1 clove | minced garlic. 1/3 c. Cooking sherry |
1/3 c. | Parmesan cheese. 1tsp. Salt |
1/3c. | Dry bread crumbs. 1, (26oz.) jar pasta sauce |
2c. | Shredded mozzarella cheese |
Prepare shells according to pkg. directions. Drain. In large skillet, melt butter. Add beef & pork and cook till lightly brown. Add onion, celery and garlic- cook until tender. Remove from heat, stir in sherry, cheese, salt and break crumbs. Cool mixture for 10 mins. Stuff each shell with meat filling. Pour half of jar pasta sauce on the bottom of 13x9 baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells in dish. Pour remaining half of jar of sauce evenly over all. Top with cheese. Cover with tinfoil and bake at 350* for 35mins. Makes 6-8.
