Asian Style Onion Salsa

    1 tbs  Sesame seeds
    2 tbs  Lime juice
    1 tbs  Sesame oil
    1 tbs  Soy sauce
    1 tsp  Sugar
    1/8 tsp  Red pepper flakes
    1 cup  Onion, finely chopped, (vidalia)
    1/4 cup  Green onions, thinly sliced
    2 tbs  Red bell pepper, finely chopped

Place the sesame seeds in a small heavy skillet. Stir over medium low heat until seeds are light golden, about two minutes, cool. In a medium bowl, whisk lime juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and crushed red pepper to blend well. Add sweet onion, green onion, bell peppper, and sesame seeds. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Toss to blend. Can be prepared two hours ahead, cover and chill. Serve over tuna burgers or grilled steak.
