Tomato Carbanara

8 slices | bacon |
1/4 cup | onion |
2 clove | garlic |
1 15oz diced tomatoes w/liquid | |
1 TBS. | dried basil |
1 tsp. | salt |
8 oz. | thin pasta, cooked |
Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp; drain on paper towel, reserve bacon drippings. Stir in onion & garlic into bacon drippings cook until tender. Add can tomatoes w/liquid, basil & salt; bring to a low boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Drain pasta. Toss pasta with tomato mixture add crumbled bacon and lightly toss.
