    450 gram  bag white navy beans, soaked overnight.
2 pork hocks
    2  onions
      Salt
      pepper
    2 tbs  shortening
Boil beans 1 1/2 hours. Boil pork hocks 1 1/2 hours. Save water from beans and pork for later use, but separately.
    Chop  pork
      onions

In crock layer shortening, beans, meat, onions, salt & pepper, repeat.

Bake all day @ 350 degrees F. Check frequently, add reserved fluid from beans/pork as needed to keep beans from scorching.

A hour before serving tale out 1 cup of what's in the pot and mash, return to pot and continue cooking another hour.

It is best to start cooking this dish about 7 or 8 am. Be smart and prepare everything the night before.
