Chunky Applesauce

3-4 | apples, peeled, cored, and quartered |
juice of 1 | lemon |
1 | cinnamon stick |
1 c. | water |
1/4 c. | brown sugar |
1/4 c. | white sugar |
1/2 tsp. | salt |
Directions:
- place all the ingredients in a pot and then cover and boil
- lower the heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes
- remove from heat and remove the cinnamon stick
- mash with the potato masher until it has desired consistency
- pour into clean jars, add lids and rings, and then process (seal) for 25 minutes
