| Pizza Sauce Ingredients 1 can (28 ounces) (unsalted if possible) crushed or ground tomatoes (Marzano preferably) | |
| 1/2 can | tomato paste |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon | coarsely ground black pepper |
| 1/2 teaspoon | red chili flakes |
| 1 teaspoon | dried basil,, (or 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil) |
| 1 teaspoon | dried oregano,, (or 1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano) |
| 2 | garlic cloves, minced |
| 1 to 2 tablespoons | balsamic vinegar |
| 1 teaspoon | sugar or a squeeze of honey |
Stir all the ingredients together and cooked over medium heat until the moisture has evaporated.
