Ingredients
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup White Sugar
1-1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans
2 Large Eggs, slightly beaten
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Milk
Rind of one Lemon
Method
Cream butter and add sugar a little at a time. Beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, and beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and
salt. Add to first mixture alternately with milk. Stir in lemon
rind and nuts. Bake in a loaf tin at 350 Degrees F. for 60
minutes. Remove from oven. Mix the juice of one lemon with
1/4 cup sugar, mixed until completely dissolved and pour over
the hot cake..
