1kg orange lentils Rinsed!!!! 1 lrg onion chopped fine 2 carrots chopped fine | |
5 pints | water |
2 Mushroom stock cubes | |
Lovage | |
4 | bay leaves |
Butter | |
Creme fraiche |
Streaky bacon smoked
1. Put onion, carrot, lentils, lovage stalks, bay leaves, mushroom stock cube and 4 pints water into saucepan.
2. Boil, skim and add pepper.
3. Roll bacon between parchment paper and heavy pans into hot oven. 20mins.
4. Remove bay leaves, puree and add more water.
5. Reduce.
6. Add salt.
7. Add butter.
8. Fine chop lovage leaves and add to Creme fraishe.
9. Ladle soup into bowl, add Creme fraishe and bacon.
