2 tbsp | canola oil |
1 large | onion diced |
2 garlic cloves minced | |
1 tbsp | grated fresh ginger |
1 lb | lean ground turkey |
1 tbsp | garam masala |
1 tsp | turmeric |
2 tbsp | tomato paste |
1/2 cup | water |
1 cup | fresh or frozen peas |
1/4 cup | plain Greek yogurt |
Salt to taste | |
2 tbsp | fresh cilantro |
1/2 tbsp | fresh mint |
4 large | naan or other flat bread |
1. In a large skillet over med-high heat heat oil. Add onion and garlic then sauté for 5 min. Add ginger and cook for another min.
2. Add turkey and cook until meat starts to brown, add garam masala and turmeric, then sauté for another min. Add tomato paste and water heat and stir for another min. Add peas and cover for 3 min.
3. Stir in yogurt. Season with salt. Stir in cilantro and mint. Serve with naan.
