Pasta with mushrooms

Ingredients: 1 (9ounce package fresh cheese- filled tortellini | |
6 tbs (3/4 stick) | butter, divided |
4 | garlic cloves, minced |
3 portobello mushroom caps about(6 oz), sliced | |
1/3 cup | shredded Parmesan cheese |
2 tbs | chopped fresh basil,, ( divided) see tip |
1/4 tsp | black pepper |
1- cook tortellini according to package; drain and return to pot
2- meanwhile, in a large skillet melt 3 tbs butter over medium heat. Add garlic, and sauté 1 minute. Add mushrooms and sauté 4-6 minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently.
3- add remaining 3 tbs butter, the Parmesan cheese, 1 tbs basil, and the pepper to the skillet; mix well.
4- serve tortellini topped with sauteed mushrooms and sprinkle with remaining 1 tbs basil
Time saving tip; cop basil with kitchen scissors, snip the fresh basil with kitchen shears instead of chopping it
