Alpine Eggs
    6 large  fresh eggs
    300g  grated gruyere cheese
    25g  butter
      Salt
      pepper

Snipped chives

Generously butter each ramakin.

Put half the cheese at the bottom of each ramakin.

Crack one egg in each ramakin, top with the remaining cheese.

Place ramekins on a tray and bake for 15 minutes in pre-heated oven at 170c.

Serve with fresh buttered bread and garnish with chives.
