HH Collard Greens

Collard greens, washed and deveined, Can use frozen if you can't find fresh | |
LARGE KETTLE with 1 inch of water in it | |
2 large | ham hocks |
1 T | red pepper flakes, (more or less) |
3 | pkg frozen collard greens |
Cook it down SLOWLY over low or moderate heat.
DON'T LET IT GO DRY!
Save the extra juice, called 'pot liquor'
Cook the smoked ham hocks for a while first
If using frozen heat with ham hock very slowly.
