1 tbsp. | butter |
1 small | chopped onion |
8 oz | mushrooms chopped |
4 oz | ham |
2 tbsp. | chopped parsley |
1 tbsp. | basil |
3 cups | cubed bread |
2 cups | shredded cheese |
4 | eggs |
1 cup | milk |
1 tbsp. | Dijon mustard |
1. Lightly grease a 8 inch square pan.
2. In a skillet, melt butter over med heat. Sauté onions and mushrooms for 4-6 min. Until tender
2. Arrange 1/2 the bread cubes in prepared pan. Top with half the ham mixture and cheese. Repeat.
3. In a small bowl whisk eggs, milk and mustard until blended. Pour over. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.
4. Preheat oven to 350 f. Bake covered for 20 min and uncovered for 30-35 min until centre in set and top is golden.
