HH Ginger's Shoo Fly Pie
Nb persons: 8
| First filling | |
| 1/2 c | boiling water |
| 1/3 c | dark molasses |
| 2 T | sugar |
| scant 1/2 t baking soda | |
| 2 | nd filling |
| 1 1/2 c | flour |
| 3/4 c | sugar |
| 1/3 c | shortening w/ a pinch of salt |
| 1/2 t | baking powder |
Preheat oven to 350F.
Prepare 9in piecrust.
Mix together:
1/2 c boiling water
1/3 c dark molasses
2T sugar
a scant 1/2 t baking soda and, pour into pie crust.
In a bowl mix 1 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c shortening w/ a pinch of salt
and 1/2 t baking powder
Mix well and sprinkle over molasses filling layer.
Bake until crust is golden brown.
Watch carefully...time to bake not known.
