12 oz | Italian bread cut into 1# cubes |
6 slices | wheat bread cut into 1# cubes |
1 14 oz can | chicken broth |
1 1/2 c | chopped celery |
1 1/4 c | chopped onion |
1/4 c | butter |
1 1/2 t | poultry seasoning |
S&P to taste | |
Hot water as needed |
Spread bread cubes on baking sheets, set aside to dry overnight.
Preheat oven to 350, spray bottom of 9x13 glass baking dish w/Pam, set aside.
Place bread cubes in a large mixing bowl, set aside.
Heat 1/4 c broth over medium heat, add celery and onion-simmering about 10 minutes. Stir in poultry seasoning, s/p.
Pour over bread cubes and stir to coat.
Add rest of broth and stir til moist (may want to add hot water to moisten)
Let set 35-45 minutes- spread into pan and bake I hour
