Soups French Onion Soup

3 T | butter 8 onions, thinly sliced, not chpd 3 T flour 8 cups beef broth |
1/4 cup | apple brandy 8 rounds French bread toasted |
1 C | grated Swiss cheese 1/3 C grated Parmesan cheese |
Heat butter and cook onions over low heat for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes until flour has browned slightly.
Transfer to cooker and add beef broth. Cover and cook 6 hours on low or 3 hours if on higher heat. I will make in slow cooker. Add apple brandy.
Place round of bread in each bowl and top with part of combined cheeses. Ladle soup over bread and cheeses.
