Corn Chowder (Brenda's Recipe)

3 | chicken breasts, cooked and shredded |
3 Tbsp | margarine |
1 small | onion, chopped |
2 | minced garlic cloves |
2 cups | half and half |
2 cups | shredded Monterrey jack cheese |
2 can | cream style corn |
1 4.5 oz can | chopped chilis, undrained |
½-1 tsp | tobacco, optional |
1 tsp | salt |
½-1 tsp | ground cumin |
2 Tbsp | chopped fresh cilantro |
Melt butter in dutch oven, add chicken, onion and garlic, sauté 10 minutes or until cooked.
Stir in everything else but cilantro, cook over low heat, stirring often.
After 15 minutes, stir in cilantro and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
