    1 tbsp.  hard margarine
    1/2 cup  chopped onion
    1 can  cream of chicken soup
    1/2 cup  milk
    1/2 block  cream cheese, 125g
    1/4 tsp.  dried thyme
    Pinch  salt
    1/4 tsp.  pepper
    1 kg bag  frozen hash browns
    1 cup  grated med cheese. About 120g

1. Melt marg in large sauce pan on med. add onion. Cook for 5-10 min. Stirring often until softened.
2. Add soup and milk. Stir. Add next 4 ingredients. Heat and stir for 3-4 min until cream cheese is melted.
3. Add hash browns. Stir until coated. Spread evenly I. Greased 2 L casserole. Cover and bake in350 f oven for 1 hour until edges are brown. Remove from oven.
4. Sprinkle with cheddar bake uncover for 10 more min until melted. Serves 6.
