    1 1/2 lbs  brats about 5 or 6 links
    1 bottle about 12 ounces  beer
    1  onion
    2 tbsp.  brown sugar
    2 tbsp.  red wine
      cider vinegar, alternative
      Mustard

Cocktail rye bread

1. Place brats, amber ale, onion, brown sugar and vinegar in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours.

2. Remove brats. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Spread mustard on bread. Top with brats and onion. Arrange on platter
