Jack and coke pulled pork The Recipe: Ingredients: | |
3.5 to 5 pounds | boneless center cut pork loin or pork shoulder. Remove shoulder back fat |
The Marinade: | |
4 cups | Coke |
1/3 cup | Jack Daniels |
1 cup | Worcestershire sauce |
2 Tablespoons | cider vinegar |
12 cloves | garlic, chopped |
1 Tablespoon | Tabasco sauce |
2 teaspoons | celery salt |
2-3 Tablespoons | liquid smoke |
The Jack and Coke BBQ Sauce: | |
1 cup | ketchup |
2/3 cup | coke |
1/3 cup | Jack Daniels Whiskey |
1/4 cup | Frank's Hot Sauce, I use the thick stuff |
2 Tablespoons | honey |
1 Tablespoon | soy sauce |
salt to taste |
Fluffy white rolls. None of this whole wheat crap.
Preparation:
Marinate in fridge over night. I put it in an extra large zip lock and flip it before I go to bed.
Break out your slow cooker.
Set it to Low for 10 hours
Cook it until the bone falls out
Shred it.
Mix in the sauce
Get your rolls
Put the oven on broil
Butter the rolls and put garlic on them
Toast until golden
