Ingredients: | |
1 cup | firmly packed brown sugar |
3/4 cup | butter, softened |
1 3/4 cup | all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon | salt |
1/2 teaspoon | baling soda |
1 1/2 cups | quick cooking oats |
1 (10 oz) jar | preserves, flavor of choice |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and butter: cream until light and fluffy
2. Add flour, salt, and baking soda, mixing well
3. Stir in oats
4. Press half of mixture into a greased 13x9 inch baling pan
5. Top with preserves spreading to 1/4 inch of edge
6. Press remaining crumb mixture on top
7. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes
8. Cool 5 minutes
9. Cut into bars
