Strawberry Pretzel Salad

2 cups | pretzels, crushed, |
3/4 c. | margarine, melted, |
4 T. | sugar |
8 oz. | cream cheese, softened, |
1 c. | sugar |
2 cups | cool whip |
6 oz. | pkg. strawberry jello |
2 cups | boiling water |
20 oz. | frozen strawberries |
CRUST: Mix first 3 ingredients together; press into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 400° for 1 minute and then cool.
MIDDLE LAYER: Mix together cream cheese, sugar (1 cup) and cool whip. Spread over cooled crust. TOPPING: Stir jello into water until completely dissolved. Stir in strawberries and chill until syrupy. Pour over cream cheese mixture and chill until firm.
