Sour Cream Spice Cake

1 1/4 c. | brown sugar |
1/2 c. | margarine |
3 | eggs |
1 3/4 c. | flour |
2 t. | baking powder |
1/2 t. | baking soda |
1/4 t. | salt |
1 t. | cinnamon |
1/2 t. | allspice |
1/2 t. | nutmeg |
3/4 c. | sour cream |
1/2 c. | nuts, chopped |
Cream sugar and margarine until light. Add eggs and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately to creamed mixture with sour cream. Stir in nuts. Bake in 2 greased and floured 8" round cake pans at 350° for 30 - 35 min. Let cool. | |
Frosting, 4 c. powdered sugar | |
1/2 c. | margarine |
dash | salt |
3 T. | sour cream |
1 t. | vanilla |
Beat until smooth and creamy. Evenly frost cake. Glaze: 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate | |

Melt butter and chocolate together and cool completely. Spoon
over top of cake and let drip down sides.
