Butter Cookies

| 2 1/4 c. | sifted flour |
| 1/4 t. | baking powder |
| 1 c. | butter, unsalted |
| 3/4 c. | sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 t. | almond |
Sift together flour and baking powder. Cream butter and add sugar gradually, then cream thoroughly. Beat in eggs and almond. Blend in dry ingredients. Color with food coloring as desired. Fill cookie press and press cookies on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. Remove at once to cooling rack. Decorate.
3-4 dzn.
