Candy cane cookies

| 1/2 C | butter |
| 1/2 C | shortening |
| 1 C | powder sugar |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 1/2 tsp | almond extract |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | salt |
2. 1/2 C flour
Mix together and divide into two even portions. Add red food color to 1/2 the dough then twist the un colored dough around the red dough twists so it resembles candy canes. Bake at 375 for about 9 mind.
