Grilled Steak with Garlic-Parmesean Crust
Nb persons: 4
Yield:
Preparation time: 30
Total time: 25 Minutes
Source:
1.5 lbs | Sirloin Tip Steak, (2 or 3 steaks) 6 oz. each serving |
1/4 cup | soy sauce |
2 Tbsp. | worcestershire sauce |
3 Tbsp. | garlic minced |
1 tsp. | garlic powder |
1/2 tsp. | onion powder |
1 Tbsp. | light butter, Smart Balance |
1/4 cup | grated Parmesan cheese, to taste |
1/2 tsp. | garlic & pepper seasoning |
Mix soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder & garlic powder. Marinade steak 30 minutes to overnight. Discard leftover marinade.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. (Alternatively, preheat the broiler.)
With the lid closed, grill (or broil) the steaks on one side to the desired doneness (about 4 minutes per side for medium rare).
Flip the steaks and spread a light coating of margarine or butter on top of the cooked side of each steak. Sprinkle each steak generously with Parmesan cheese and lightly with garlic & black pepper seasoning. Cook the steaks to desired doneness.
Remove the steaks to a plate or cutting board and slice them into strips to serve them.
Side Dish suggestion: For grilled broccoli, grill the spears in an aluminum foil packet while the steaks are cooking, until they are lightly browned (about 7 minutes each side). Toss the grilled broccoli with a little melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese.
