    2 Packages  Yeast, Baker's, Dry, Active
    1/4 cup  Water
    5 cups  AP Flour
    1 tsp  Baking Soda
    1 tsp  Salt
    3 tsp  Baking Powder, Double-Acting
    4 tbsp  Sugar
    1 cup  Shortening
      Vegetable
    2 cups  Buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water. In a food processor, mix flour, soda, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Cut in shortening and pour out onto counter, make a well and then add buttermilk and yeast. Stir well and then knead. Dough should be a little sticky wet but easy to make into a ball. (Add more flour or water to get right consistency). Let rise for 1 hour. Roll out 3/8" thick and cut biscuits. Bake at 400•. This dough will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
