| 1 1/2 Cups | White Cornmeal |
| 1/2 Cup | flour |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | soda |
| 1 | egg |
| 2 Cups | Buttermilk |
~ 2 TBLSP bacon grease
Mix All ingredients (except bacon grease)
Melt bacon grease in cast iron pan in oven
rotate pan to coat all sides of pan with grease
Pour excess grease into cornmeal mixture and stir
Pour Mix into hot pan and bake
450 degrees 20 minutes
