Budweiser Chili

    3 lbs  boneless sirloin, cubed
    2 t  garlic salt
    1 bottle  Budweiser lager
    1/2 c  olive oil
    3 medium  onions, chopped
    6 cloves  garlic, chopped
    1 can (28 oz)  red kidney beans, drained
    1 can (28 oz)  whole tomatoes, with liquid
    1 can (15 oz)  tomato sauce
    1/3 c  chili powder
    1 T  ground cumin
    1 T  dried oregano
    1 t  cayenne pepper
      Salt
      pepper
      Cheddar cheese

Marinate meat in garlic salt and beer for an hour. Strain liquid from meat and reserve.

Sauté onions and garlic in oil for 5 minutes. Add meat and cook until browned.

Add remaining ingredients, plus the reserved marinade. Add water, if necessary, to cover.

Simmer for at least one hour. Serve topped with cheese.
