Budweiser Chili

3 lbs | boneless sirloin, cubed |
2 t | garlic salt |
1 bottle | Budweiser lager |
1/2 c | olive oil |
3 medium | onions, chopped |
6 cloves | garlic, chopped |
1 can (28 oz) | red kidney beans, drained |
1 can (28 oz) | whole tomatoes, with liquid |
1 can (15 oz) | tomato sauce |
1/3 c | chili powder |
1 T | ground cumin |
1 T | dried oregano |
1 t | cayenne pepper |
Salt | |

Cheddar cheese |
Marinate meat in garlic salt and beer for an hour. Strain liquid from meat and reserve.
Sauté onions and garlic in oil for 5 minutes. Add meat and cook until browned.
Add remaining ingredients, plus the reserved marinade. Add water, if necessary, to cover.
Simmer for at least one hour. Serve topped with cheese.
