Refrigerated Bran Muffins

2 cups | boiling water |
2 cups | bran buds |
1 quart | buttermilk |
2 t | vanilla |
1 cup | crisco |
3 cups | sugar |
4 | eggs |
5 cups | plain flour |
5 t | soda |
Boil water add brans buds (soak until soft) add buttermilk and vanilla. Cream crisco, sugar and eggs and add bran mixture, fold in flour and soda. You can add nuts and raisins to mixture. This recipe can be stored in covered container in ref and used as desired.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake 400 for 15-20 minutes.
