Baklava • Pre-heat oven to 350’ • One Roll Phillo Dough | |

1 lb | Almonds ½ lb Walnuts, (chopped Coarse) |
5 tbls | Sugar |
1 tsp | Cinnamon |
1 tsp | Ground Cloves |
1 ½ Sticks | Butter Melted |
Layer four sheets of phillo, brush with butter and a little sugar Alternate layers of nut mix and two layers of butter and sugar only Cut into diamonds Bake at 300’ 40 minutes – 1 ½ hours till golden brown (do not overcook) Prepare sauce – Bring to a boil over medium heat till sugar dissolves, reduce to low, simmer for ten minutes. | |

¾ Cup | Water |
1 tbls | lemon juice |
2 | cinnamon sticks |
Let diamonds cool for five minutes
Top with sauce, let sit for hour or two.
