CHOW MEIN | |
1 pound | chow mein meat |
1 tablespoon | oil |
1/2 teaspoon | salt |
1/2 teaspoon | ginger |
1 | beef bouillon cube |
1 1/2 cup | sliced celery |
16 ounce can | bean sprouts drained |
8 ounces | water chestnuts sliced and drained |
4 ounces | mushroom drained |
1 1/2 cups | water |
2 tablespoons | soy sauce |
2 tablespoons | cornstarch |
2 tablespoons | water |
4 cups | chow mein noodles, rice |
In large skillet, brown meat in hot oil. Add salt, ginger, bouillon, celery, mushrooms, 1 1/2 cups water, and soy sauce; mix well. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Blend cornstarch and water and gradually stir in until thick.
