Guacamole | |
For Makes 3 1/2 cups | |
5 | ripe avocados |
2 Tb. | finely chopped red onion |
2 Tb. | fresh lime juice |
1/2 medium | jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped |
1 | garlic clove, pressed |
3/4 tsp. | salt |
Tortilla Chips | |
Cut avocados in half. Scoop pulp into a bowl, and mash with a potato masher or fork until slightly chunky. Stir in chopped onion, lime juice, and next 3 ingredients. Place plastic wrap directly onto surface of mixture and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips. Cilantro Guacamole: Increase lime juice to 3 Tb.
