| 2 ¼ cups | flour |
| 1 teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 cup (2 sticks) | softened butter |
| ¾ cup | sugar |
| ¾ cups | brown sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | vanilla |
| 2 | eggs |
| 2 cups (1/2 24 oz bag) | chocolate chips, (Semi Sweet) |
| 1 cup | chopped nuts, (optional) |
Preheat oven at 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter,sugar, brown sugar and vanilla is creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips, and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes.
