Source:

    1 2/3 c  all purpose flour
    1 tsp  kosher salt
    1/2 tsp  baking soda
    1/2 tsp  baking powder
    6 tbsp  butter
    3/4 c  granulated sugar
    3  eggs
2  bananas, very ripe making about 1 c mashed
    3/4 c  walnut pieces
glaze (optional):
    1 c  icing sugar
    1/2 c  melted butter

preheat oven to 350F.
grease a 9*5 loaf pan.
in a medium size bowl, whish together the flour, salt, baking soda, and banking powder. set aside. in another bowl, with a hand-held electric mixer, blend the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 min. slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until it resembles granular brown sugar. add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well, until just combined.
use a spatula to fold in the banana and nuts until just combined. pour into the prepared pan.
bake for 50-60 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the centre comes out clean.
this can be eaten without the glaze, but it does add a certain something!
whisk until bleneded and brush over the top of the loaf. let cool in teh pan, remove from teh pan and cut into slices.
