Guinness Chocolate Cake (Firehouse)

150ml | Guinness |
125g | butter |
40g | cocoa |
200g | sugar |
75ml | sour cream |
1 | egg |
1tsp | vanilla essence |
150g | plain flour, (all purpose), sifted |
1tsp | baking powder |
Preheat oven to 170C (325F) In a saucepan add the Guinness and butter, warm until butter melts. In clean bowl, whisk sour cream, vanilla and egg Combine sugar and cocoa powder and add to the sour cream mix. Pour on the Guinness/butter. Whisk together. Fold in the flour, baking powder and soda. Turn into lined cake ring and bake 30-35 minutes. Once baked the cake should be firm to the touch. Cool on wire rack. ICING | |

75g | icing sugar |
50g | whipping cream |
Combine all ingredients and whisk to soft peaks. Ice surface of cake to look like head on a Pint.
