Cherry Dump Cake Ingredients | |
1 (20 oz.) can | crushed pineapple, undrained |
1 (21 oz.) can | more fruit cherry pie filling |
1 (18.25 oz.) box | yellow cake mix |
1 cup | butter,, (2 sticks), melted |
1 cup | coconut |
1 cup | chopped pecans |
Whipped cream | |
ice cream for serving, alternative |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. Using a 9 x 13 pyrex dish, “dump” the undrained pineapple into the dish
and spread it out evenly.
3. “Dump” the cherry pie filling evenly on top of the pineapple.
4. Sprinkle the cake mix over the cherry layer.
5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
6. Sprinkle the coconut and pecans on top.
7. Bake for 1 hour.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
9. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
