Oatmeal Cake

| 1 1/4 cup | boiling water |
| 1 cup | quick oats |
| 1/2 cup | margarine |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1 cup | brown sugar |
| 1 t | vanilla |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 1/2 cup | flour |
| 1 t | soda |
| 1/2 t | salt |
| 3/4 t | cinnamon |
| 1/4 t | nutmeg |
Bring water to boil and add oatmeal and margarine. Cream sugars, vanilla & eggs. Sift dry ingredients and mix well. Spray a 9 X 13 pan with Bakers Joy.andii Bake in 350 for 30-35 minutes.
Frosting-- 1/4 cup margarine-- 1/2 cup brown sugar--3 T half and half--1/3 cup nuts --3/4 cup coconut. Heat margarine, brown sugar and half and half add nuts and cocoanut. Mix when cake comes from the oven spread frosting on hot cake and brown under broiler.
