Classic Quiche

1 prepared 10 inch pie crust 3 cups-about 24 oz-mashed or 3 cups cooked white canned beans-2 15 oz cans | |
3/4 cups | non dairy milk or water |
3/4 c | flour |
1/4 cup | nutritional yeast flakes |
1 tsp | salt |
1/4 tsp | nutmeg |
3/4 tsp | turmeric |
1/3 tsp | white pepper |
1 tbs | olive oil or organic canola or safflower oil |
1 1/2 cups | finely chopped onions |
Preheat oven to 400 degrees prebake crust 10-12 minutes
Let cool
Reduce oven to 350. Place all materials accept onions in processor and process until smooth. Stop machine frequently to stir and scape mixture. Set aside and sauté onions and stir into blended mixture and pour into pie pan.bake until top is firm and brown and slightly puffed about 40-45 minutes let rest 15 min before slicing.
Add 1/2 to 1/3 cup of veggie bacon into blended mixture if desired before pouring into pie crust.
