NJ Cast Iron Cornbread

1 1/4 cups | coarsely ground cornmeal |
3/4 cups | flour |
1/4 cup | sugar |
1 tsp | salt |
2 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | baking soda |
1/3 cup | whole milk |
1 cup | buttermilk |
2 | eggs, lightly beaten |
8 tbs | butter, melted |
Preheat oven 425 n place greased iron skillet until batter is ready.
Whisk together all powdery ingredients.
Add milk, buttermilk, and eggs.
Add almost all the melted butter (leaving a tbs for skillet)
Pour batter into skillet. Reduce heat to 375. Bake until center is firm . About 20-30 mins
