Pork - Cafe Rio Style

2 tbsp. | brown sugar |
2 tsp. | crushed red pepper |
2 tsp. | salt |
2 tsp. | cumin |
2 tsp. | paprika |
4 lb. | pork shoulder roast |
Group 2: | |
1 | sliced onion |
2 cloves | garlic |
1 c. | chicken broth |
1 c. | coke |
Group 3: | |
1 c. | brown sugar |
1 tsp. | paprika |
Directions:
- trim all the fat off the pork and rub the group 1 mixture on the roast
- put the roast in the crockpot and add group 2
- cook on low for 8 hours
- take the roast out of the crockpot and shred the meat
- add group 3 to the juice and put the roast back in the crockpot
- cook on low for 3-6 hours
