Strawberry Cheese Ring

| 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. | sharp cheddar cheese |
| 1 sm. | onion, peeled |
| 1 c. | pecans, chopped |
| 2/3 c. | mayonnaise |
| 1/4 tsp. | garlic salt |
| 1/4 tsp. | pepper |
| Dash | red pepper |
Strawberry preserves
Grate cheese and onion. Add pecans, mayonnaise and seasonings until blended. Shape mixture into a ring on a serving platter. Chill several hours. Fill center of ring with strawberry preserves. Serve with crackers. Yield: 3 1/4 cups.
