Homemade cheese corn dogs

1 1/2 cups | cornmeal |
1 1/2 cups | AP flour |
1 tbsp | baking powder |
1 tsp | baking soda |
2 tsp | sugar |
1 1/2 tsp | salt |
1 3/4 cup | buttermilk |
4 lightly beaten large eggs Blocked cheese , ur choice cut into1/2 inch x 3 inch sticks | |
3 quarts | peanut |
vegetable oil, alternative |
Set wire rack inside rimmdd baking sheet
Whisk cornmeal, 1 cup flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt together in bowl
Whisk in buttermilk and eggs
Place remaining 1/2 cup flour jn separate bowl
Dredge cheese slice in flour
Thread cheese on 8 inch skewer
Heat oil to 350 degrees ( about 2 inch deep)
Place batter in a large tall glass
Sumerge cheese sticks in batter Twirl to coat
Place in hot oil
Fry cheese sticks turning occasionally until golden brown
Place on wire rack to cool
