Spicy Hummus

Ingredients: | |
1 can (15-16 oz) | chick peas, drained |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
Juice of 2 lemons | |
4 cloves | garlic, peeled |
Salt and pepper to taste | |
1/2 cup | tahini, (sesame seed paste with oil) |
1 tsp | strong paprika |
= t cumin
Dash of cayenne
Cilantro to taste
Directions:
Place chick peas, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in processor and puree. Add remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy. If mixture is too thick, add a little more lemon juice. Garnish with Kalmata or regular black olives and serve with pita, lavosh or thin crackers.
Makes 2 cups.
