Ingredients
    2 cups  self raising flour
    1/2 teaspoon  salt
    1 teaspoon  castor sugar
    30 g  butter
    3/4 cup  milk

Method
Preheat the oven to very hot temperatures around 250°C.

Sift flour and salt into a basin stir in the sugar, rub in the butter till fine crumb consistency.

Poor in the majority of the milk. Using a knife cutting the milk to the four to form a soft dough. If to dry try adding more milk.

Press out on a floured surface to about 2 cm thickness. Using a 5 cm scone cutter cutout concentric circles and place on a scone tray lined with baking paper.

Brushed tops of scones with additional milk. Bake in a very hot oven for 10 to 11 minutes.

Wrap in a tea towel and place on a cooling wrack to cool.
