Bread Pudding

6 | eggs beaten |
6 cups | whole milk |
2 cups | sugar |
1 loaf | French bread cut into cubes |
2 Tbs | vanilla extract |
2 Tbs | brandy |
Combine all ingredients and let stand in refrigerator overnight. Butter and flour a 10 x 14 inch pan. Put ingredients into pan. Bake 375 for 50 minutes. Serve warm with Rum Sauce. Rum Sauce: (doubled recipe) | |
1/3 cup | butter |
1 cup | brown sugar |
2 Tbs | light corn syrup |
1/2 cup | heavy cream |
2 Tbs | Rum |
Melt butter in sauce pan. Stir in sugar, corn syrup, and cream. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Let cool then pour over bread pudding.
