Chili-Ground Turkey

1 1/2 pounds | ground turkey |
1 teaspoon | garlic |

2 tablespoons | olive oil |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
1 medium | green bell pepper, chopped, (or use stewed tomatoes with peppers) |
1 6-ounce can | tomato paste |
2 8-ounce cans | tomato sauce |
1 14 1/2-ounce can | stewed tomatoes |
5 tablespoons | chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon | cumin |
14 ounces | frozen corn, (substituted for Kidney Beans) |
Allow your skillet to get very hot and sauté ground turkey meat with NO oil. While turkey is cooking season with 1 Tablespoon chili powder, granulated garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Put seasoned turkey meat in large Dutch oven and set aside. Heat same skillet (do not wash) and add 2 Tablespoons oil. Sauté onion for 3 minutes, add bell pepper and sauté for 3 more minutes. Add to turkey. Add all tomato products, remaining chili powder, cumin and salt pepper to taste. Stir completely and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Add kidney beans, check and adjust seasonings to your taste, simmer and stir occasionally for 30 minutes more. Serve with chili condiments of sour cream, chopped green onions, grated cheddar cheese, macaroni or oyster crackers.
